Did you know that a honey-bee worker can only produce an average of 1/12 of a tablespoon their entire life? That means it takes 12 bees to produce 1 tablespoon of honey, that’s
UN-BEE-LEAVABLE!
Never underestimate the effect of honey, even if it does have a high sugar content, but when it comes to “blood sugar effect”, honey has a lower glycemic index than sugar, which means it will not affect your blood sugar as much.
Honey has antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral properties, the antibacterial properties of honey can speed up the healing process by producing white blood cells to increase the pro-inflammatory cytokines. Several sources of evidence have showed that honey may act as an anti-microbial agent through lowering pH, osmotic effect of sugars, and H2O2 levels, all of these work against pathogenic bacteria.
Honey has proved its antioxidant activity by preventing several acute and chronic diseases which include diseases related to inflammation, diabetes, cardiovascular, and cancer. Moreover, phenolic acids of honey protect humans from hydrogen peroxide-induced oxidative DNA damage in lymphocytes.

How to know if my honey is authentic?
You can simply make a water test, pour 1 tbsp of honey into a cup of water (250ml), if the honey settles as a lump at the bottom of the cup then the honey is pure, if it starts getting dissolved then it’s not.
